Talking up Fandemonium.
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:52:21 PM »

I'm in Boise for the weekend and have mentioned Fandemonium to at least three people. One had been one year, another had heard of it somewhere and the third had no idea there was a convention, and being a role playing gamer was thrilled to hear about it.

Word of mouth, costs nothing, gets the Fandemonium name out there amongst the people.

I totally just tweeted up the event...will post around my other networks too. I don't know a ton of people but am telling everyone I do know!

(hope the events folks are doing all they can to create a mailing list - that way you can directly contact people of interest next year!)

All the best!

Dude that is super appreciated. We always love it when fans spread the word about Fandemonium.

We actually have a mass e-mailing list of over 2,000 members called "[FANS!]" that we spent the last six year building. We use it to promote Fandemonium and all other state wide fandom related events that we can find out about. If you find people who would like to be notified of upcoming fandom related events, clubs and retailers please either send there e-mail addresses to moderator@fandemonium.org with the subject line "Add Me" or have them e-mail that address themselves.

Once again thanks for spreading the word its always appreciated.

I plug Fandemonium to every con I attend. There are a ton of Vancouver con attendee's who are all curious about this awesome con that happens in Idaho. I wouldn't be surprised if Canadian attendance went up a bit in the next couple years ^.^
